Overview

Drawing on a Rich Legal Background and an Attorney-Client Teamwork Approach to Win Cases

Andrew Koscianski is an Attorney at NRS Injury Law, focusing on workers’ compensation law. From his first personal injury case, where he represented a badly hurt family member, to his current role advocating for injured workers, Andrew has always prioritized using the law to help others.

A Background Centered Around Service

“I’ve always worked, in some form or another,” Andrew said as he outlined his career background. “I started as a busboy at an old family-run Italian place in North Royalton, and then I painted houses for Neubert Painting for seven years while making my way through high school and undergrad. Once I got into law school, I started working in legal clinics for Cleveland-Marshall, which gave me a head start on my career in law.”

Andrew reminisced on how a youth spent in the service industry and the trades gave him an appreciation for hard work, while an upbringing in a family of intergenerational attorneys inspired him to ultimately seek a law degree and a career where he could use the U.S. justice system to serve others.

Every Day is an Opportunity to Use Our Justice System to Help Someone

Andrew’s first job out of law school was at the family law firm of Koscianski & Koscianski Co., LPA, and he described it as a trial-by-fire experience in which he was handed a highly diversified caseload that included anything from probate to family law, criminal defense, and personal injury. Andrew learned the ropes at the family firm, then went on to represent clients at a variety of firms, including helping one firm get off the ground, training a contingent of its paralegals and case managers, and wearing IT and management hats.

“By the start of my seventh year as a practicing attorney, I felt a calling to help others and hone my legal career towards a singular goal of service, towards using the justice system to help those who had been severely wronged,” said Andrew. “I had a few meetings with NRS Injury Law Co-Managing Partners Jerry Schneiberg and Dan Romaine, and I realized this firm is where I could do the most good.”

Work/Life Balance

When he’s not representing the firm’s clients, Andrew fills his time with hands-on activities like going to the gym, cycling, and hiking. Andrew and his wife love to travel and are on a mission to visit all of the national parks. On weekends, Andrew plays in adult soccer leagues and disc golfs with friends.

Don’t Wait to Seek Legal Help from Andrew Koscianski

“This is a team that sticks around,” Andrew said when asked to describe why he took a position at NRS Injury Law. “This firm has attorneys who have been with the firm for decades, because not only does NRS Injury Law empower the attorneys to be the best versions of themselves in terms of representing clients, but the firm truly values their employees and understands the importance of creating a teamwork-based approach between the firm, the attorney, and the client. That’s how they became the largest workers’ compensation firm in Ohio.”

Andrew is laidback yet strategic, easy to talk to yet ruthless in his client advocacy. His hard work, tenacity, and detail-based case-building are essential traits that align perfectly with NRS Injury Law’s mission to: “Provide empathetic and patient service to every person who calls the firm, and to relentlessly pursue the best possible outcome on behalf of every client by putting collective experience, knowledge, and passion to work every day.” To retain an effective legal team with a proven track record and to speak with Andrew and the firm about your case, call 855.468.4878 or fill out a convenient online contact form.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
