Overview
Drawing on Teamwork and a Client-Forward Focus to Win Cases
Gregory “Greg” Nitz is an Attorney at NRS Injury Law, focusing on workers’ compensation law at the firm’s Cleveland offices. A people person at heart, Greg is good at asking the right questions and even better at listening to their answers. He is a master at building carefully crafted cases and ardently representing his clients in litigation.
A Background Based in Client-Facing Roles
“One of the big jobs I had in undergrad was a pretty high-up customer service role at Bank of America,” Greg said, describing his lead-up to a legal career. “I took that job right before the COVID-19 pandemic began, and let me tell you, even when stress-levels are at the max for you and your clients, working a client-facing role teaches you real fast how to perform essential functions within a framework of rules and regulations while also getting results for your client.”
Bank of America may have been a highlight of Greg’s pre-law school career, but it was just one of many steps in a methodical, highly intentional stairway that Greg has been climbing since childhood. A newspaper delivery boy in the mornings and a hardworking student by day, Greg added activity after activity each year to improve the lives of those around him. He joined the Boy Scouts of America at a young age and rose to the rank of Eagle Scout, leading community service projects at every step. He volunteered in school programs, mentored others, and helped refugees and foreign torture survivors through his church.
Helping Ohio Workers No Matter the Case
After graduating from college and law school with a surplus of academic accolades, Greg launched a legal career. Today he focuses primarily on litigation, where he feels he can do the most good by advocating for clients. “I’ve always loved anything having to do with debate, argument, rhetoric, or simply making a case for something and standing by it,” Greg said.
Greg’s background in law has been immensely varied, including corporate law, civil litigation, transactional and business-related legal administration, and public defense. “Prior to working for the firm, I saw a lot of different types of legal cases in a relatively short time,” Greg said. “That’s immensely helpful, as no two cases are the same, and every case requires an open mind and a willingness to draw on different strategies and legal approaches.”
Work/Life Balance
“I enjoy cooking, setting up home networking systems, and hiking,” Greg said when asked what he does when he’s not serving clients at the firm. “I’m also really into baking, especially pizzas!” Greg added. A man of many hobbies, Greg has also achieved intermediate fluency in German and is at a beginner level in Russian.
Don’t Wait to Seek Legal Help from Gregory Nitz
“Attorneys have to be willing to put in the work, but it’s not just about the work,” Greg said in closing. “You also have to apply yourself to the work in an organized and methodical manner.” Greg went on to describe the organizational structure of NRS Injury Law as being one that’s designed to assist each attorney in applying themselves to their craft in the best way they know how. “The ‘pod’ structure at the firm is unique and unlike other firms,” Greg said. “It’s so well organized, we’re able to focus on our clients to the best of our abilities.”
Greg’s affable, people-person character, his impressive work ethic, his love for process and methodology, and his knack for strategy and debate are all traits that align perfectly with NRS Injury Law’s mission to: “Provide empathetic and patient service to every person who calls the firm, and to relentlessly pursue the best possible outcome on behalf of every client by putting collective experience, knowledge, and passion to work every day.” To retain an effective legal team with a proven track record and to speak with Greg and the firm about your case, call 855.468.4878 or fill out a convenient online contact form.
Community Impact
As a boy and teen, Greg spent most of his free time in Boy Scouts of America, applying himself to his community wherever he could and ultimately attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. While in high school, Greg mentored and educated new marching band members as squad leader of the Anthony Wayne Marching Generals. Greg also served as Vice President for his school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. While in college, Greg volunteered for the Catholic Charities, the Summer Reading Club, and ZooTeen.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
