Euclid Workers’ Compensation Law Lawyer
Overview
Winning Trial Victories for Clients Through Impeccable Organization and Skilled Case-Building
Margaret Whitmore-Ribeiro is a Senior Associate Attorney at NRS Injury Law, focusing on workers’ compensation. A self-starter, highly organized, a fast thinker, and an expert strategist in case-building, Margaret constructs winning trial arguments through her in-depth knowledge of the nuances of medicine and workplace injuries. With her ever-present interest in people, their stories, and how she can find the best possible way to represent them, Margaret fulfills an essential role on the NRS Injury Law team.
Building on a Background in Medical Law
Margaret developed a rich understanding of her chosen field at a young age, which empowered her to achieve notable trial victories early on. In fact, Margaret began preparing for a career helping injured workers before she joined NRS Injury Law. While in college, she was a legal extern in the Compliance & Ethics Department at University Hospitals. She earned a Certificate in Health Law from Cleveland-Marshall’s Center for Health Law & Policy and was given an ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in Health Law.
After law school, Margaret worked at a small firm in Fairview Park, Ohio, where she developed skills in multiple legal areas, including personal injury, nursing home negligence, wills, trusts, and estate planning and administration. When she came to NRS Injury Law in 2018, Margaret’s in-depth knowledge of medicine as it pertains to injury law made her a perfect fit as a workers’ compensation plaintiff attorney.
“I spent much of my youth shadowing a prominent personal injury attorney who I happened to babysit for,” Margaret said, taking us back even further to her teen years. “Despite having no one in my family in the legal profession or anyone around me who was even all that familiar with the field, that attorney took me under his wing and showed me the ins and outs of personal injury law. He also showed me that attorneys can be kind, genuine, affable, charismatic, and empathetic and still be very good at their job.”
Working with the NRS Injury Law Team to Produce Results for Clients
Drawn to trial work and an expert litigator, Margaret credits the structure of the NRS Injury Law firm with the results she and other attorneys are able to secure in court. “Workers’ comp is more than just a hearing,” Margaret says. “Each case has numerous aspects and administrative details. Lots of firms either won’t handle workers’ compensation cases because of that, or they’ll only take on certain cases. NRS Injury Law is the largest workers’ comp firm in the state, empowering their attorneys with the resources, support structure, assistants, medical experts, research potential, evidence-gathering help, and colleague advice they need to build winning cases.”
Beyond the teamwork approach that NRS Injury Law is known for, Margaret also credits the firm’s ability to loop clients in as a part of its formula for success. “We at the firm are encouraged to fully bring clients in and make them a part of the team,” Margaret says. “We (the clients and their attorneys) are in this together, and the best cases are built with clients who feel like they’re a part of the process. We build great cases together because the firm encourages us to bring clients up-to-date, inform them, and coach them on what they must do to maximize their results. NRS Injury Law is unique in its inclusion of clients to this degree.”
Work/Life Balance
Margaret and her husband have put down roots and started a family in Lorain County, so Margaret’s time away from work is usually spent managing the home, planning childcare, and accomplishing essential tasks. During her free time, Margaret enjoys running, exercising, taking yoga classes, and visiting her parents and seven siblings.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
