Overview

For more than twenty-five years, Keith Givens has aggressively represented clients in disputes over wrongfully denied insurance benefits, personal injuries, dog bites, wrongful deaths and other important matters. Many of the jury verdicts and settlements Keith obtained for his clients exceed $1,000,000; with the largest jury verdict exceeding $5,000,000.

Keith's expertise with insurance and personal injury cases has been recognized numerous times during his career, including his designation as a Super Lawyer® in both practice areas. Keith is licensed to practice in Oklahoma and Texas.

In addition to litigating cases, Keith has presented wide-ranging topics at numerous seminars and written articles for various legal publications. Keith also authored the first two editions of "Organ and Tissue Donation Under Oklahoma Law" for the OBA-YLD Gift of Life Project which he created after his wife suffered a life-threatening medical crisis that required her to have a kidney transplant. Keith also played a significant role in the creation of Oklahoma's donor registry and served as a charter member of Oklahoma's Advisory Council on Organ Donation after a previous Governor appointed him to that position.

Keith also has a passion for serving his community. Prior to law school, Keith raised money for various charities. During law school, he volunteered for Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Cleveland County. After completing his legal education, Keith served on the Board of Directors for Calm Waters Center for Children & Families, Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Oklahoma County and Speck Homes for Boys. For over twenty years, Keith has represented abused and neglected children through Oklahoma Lawyers for Children. Serving as an advocate for children who are taken into protective custody through no fault of their own, and helping them join new families, has been the most rewarding experience in Keith’s career.

Keith earned his BA and JD degrees at the University of Oklahoma as well as an LL.M. degree from the London School of Economics. After living in London and Dallas, Keith returned to Oklahoma where he started his legal career in 1995.

During his personal time, Keith loves spending time with his wife, Brenda, and their family and friends. He also enjoys concerts, cycling and traveling any chance he gets.
