Mechanicsburg Mediation Lawyer
Overview
An accomplished trial attorney with over 40 years of experience, Mike has a long track record of successfully representing clients and working with defense counsel, their clients and insurance carriers in medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, automobile accidents and wrongful death cases.
Born in raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Mike received his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton in 1979 and Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans in 1982. He practiced law in Louisiana for nine years, litigating a broad variety of cases in jurisdictions throughout the Gulf Coast in Federal and State Courts before returning home over 30 years ago to build a practice centered primarily on medical negligence claims.
Mike has litigated cases throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in both State and Federal Courts. He has found over the past 30 years that ADR is a useful tool for all parties in litigation. Mike’s trial practice has always been to prepare the other parties’ case first before preparing his own. In understanding and appreciating all sides of the case, he has had the privilege of working with outstanding judges and counsel in mediations and arbitrations in many venues throughout Pennsylvania.
Mike has been recognized for his professional excellence in Personal Injury by The Best Lawyers in America™ for 2024. He also holds prestigious recognition as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Mike is a member of many professional associations including the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
