Overview

Virginia King received her Bachelor's Degree in Economics (with Honors) from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida in 2002, Ms. King earned her Juris Doctor in 2005 from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

While in law school, Ms. King was a member of the prestigious Moot Court Honor Society, and a writing staff member of the Political and Civil Rights Law Review. She also interned for the Bucks County District Attorney's Office and the Camden Public Defenders, and clerked for Chief Judge Diane W. Sigmund of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. King is licensed in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has successfully obtained several defense verdicts at arbitration and jury trial level, as well as numerous settlements and summary judgment dismissals. She is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, and an active member of the Philadelphia Defense Institute and Philadelphia Association of Defense Lawyers. She has served numerous times as an arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Ms. King lectures on various legal topics including legal research skills, as well as for the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Compulsory Arbitration Seminar. She has also conducted security and premises risk management seminars for various clients. Her practice is primarily focused on general liability, premises liability, products liability, automobile negligence, and PIP and property damage subrogation.
