Overview
Eve is a partner with Phillips Froetschel. She draws her thirteen years of experience from both large and small law firms, where she earned her reputation as one of the highest rated personal injury lawyers in Western Pennsylvania. Eve has successfully represented injured clients in matters involving wrongful death, negligent security, liquor liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, as well as catastrophic trucking and motor vehicle accidents. In addition, she has represented workers across Western Pennsylvania that have been catastrophically injured on the job. To date, Eve has recovered over twelve million dollars in combined verdicts and settlements for her clients.
Eve’s hallmark is her deep compassion and personal attention given to her clients. Through experience she has learned the importance of connecting with her clients so she can effectively tell their story. During the course of representation, clients come to trust that Eve has their best interest at heart, not only by how hard she fights for them but by her sound process, consistent communication and effective advocacy.
In recognition of her tremendous results for her clients, Eve was accepted to the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is reserved for attorneys who have achieved resolutions in excess of two million dollars on a single matter. In addition, she is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, a prominent invite-only organization of distinguished lawyers. She has been named “Top 40 under 40” by the National Trial Lawyers Association in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and “Top 25” in Workers’ Compensation.
Within the legal community, Eve invests her time in organizations that dedicate their mission to “justice for all”, serving on the Board of Governors for the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and as a Council Member for the Civil Litigation Council of the Allegheny County Bar Association. She also holds memberships with the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
While originally from North Carolina and a proud alumna of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Eve is proud to call Pittsburgh home. After college she completed an intensive yearlong language immersion program at the Beijing Institute of Education. Thereafter she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer, attending the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Duquesne University, where she was the Founder and Executive Editor of the Duquesne Criminal Law Journal. Eve was also recognized early on for her outstanding courtroom and oratory skills, being awarded the CALI Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and the regional champion of the American Bar Association Arbitration Competition.
Outside of law, Eve is a highly involved member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Oakland. She dedicates her time leading the Oratorical Festival, an annual competition where students write and deliver speeches, progressing from local parishes to a national stage. Eve made nationals as a teenager, an early sign of her natural oratory ability. She also sits on the Board of Philoptochos, a women’s organization whose purpose is service, helping the less fortunate both locally and across the world. She also teaches Greek dancing to the children who perform at the annual Greek food festival.
Eve has always had a passion for foreign languages. She speaks fluent Greek and is highly conversational in Mandarin Chinese. These skills have enabled her to represent numerous international clients that need legal guidance in their native language.
Eve lives in the North Side with her husband and two young boys. She is active in the North Side community and participates in the North Side Chamber of Commerce. She spends many of her weekends cheering on her boys as they engage in a multitude of sports and also enjoys the Pittsburgh restaurant scene, especially in the vibrant North Side. She also loves to travel with her family, including to Greece and Italy.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
