Hired Attorney 2024I had the pleasure of working with Regina Jacobson on my immigration case. From start to finish, Regina was nothing short of exceptional. One of the things I appreciated most was how responsive and transparent she was throughout the entire process. Regina developed a solid strategy that addressed my concerns and worked in my best interest. I felt confident that I was in good hands, and the outcome reflected her skill and dedication - a fantastic attorney who genuinely cares about their clients. THANK YOU!

Consulted Attorney 2024I hired Regina Jacobson to get a consultation on an immigration case. First, she was 20 minutes late. Then, after asking a couple of questions, she became extremely mean and disrespectful to the point that I asked to terminate the meeting. Ms. Jacobson is the most unprofessional attorney I've even encountered. Please do not waste your time hiring her.

Hired Attorney 2020-2021I would like to leave my honest feedback on the services of Regina Jacobson attorney. I hired this attorney to obtain US citizenship. The lawyer did not provide me a full explanation of the process, there was no consultation (opinion on my part). I collected all the documents myself and no help was provided (I needed letters from the courts). Likewise, the lawyer did NOT even came to the naturalization interview. The immigration service asked about my lawyer and why she did not come. The lawyer did not give any comments on this situation. I had to check the web site by myself and wait for all the updates. In general, for $ 1000, the lawyer only filled out a questionnaire with ready-made data (which I could easy do myself in 15 minutes). I believe that have not received any attorney services at all! There was not even a consultation - I had to look for all information about naturalization on the Internet by myself. I don't understand why I paid such an amount of $ 1000 !!! EXTREMELY NOT RECOMMENDED

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
