Hired Attorney 2024Nicholas Carre is not to do business with he is not reliable and very unprofessional. He is only there for money and once he gets it that’s it he will not finish up his part of the deal. So I recently sold my home back in March of 2024 and I made a contract agreement with the buyers to hold money in an escrow account and once the issues was completed the money was suppose to be released to me instead I have not got anything and I been reaching out to him and his office since April and he just ignore the calls… ignore the emails. I even went down to the office in person and they told me I couldn’t speak to him he not there I waited and still nothing.. if someone ever recommends him do not use him at all he has now been dodging me and my boyfriend for almost a year now.. I repeat do not do any business with him or his company. I now have to get legal involve and file complaints against him.

Hired Attorney 2019I had a very bad experience with this people. They were slow on doing everything during the sale process. They stook days to respond to an Email. They dragged slow the sale. I was a client of this firm and they did not fight for my interest at all. On top of that Nick came very late at the closing. I had to wait him for hours. This is a very bad firm, and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Hired Attorney 2020I had a terrible and unprofessional experience with this law firm. I waited over 3 hours for Nick to show up at our closing , extremely unprofessional and unreliable. I had multiple issues with my closing and on top of waiting hours for him to finally show up. You would think he would’ve rescheduled or would be honest on how long he would be. It proved money was worth more than customer service.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
