Woodland Hills Employment Law - Plaintiff/Employee Law Firm
Overview
At Avila & Shaddow Attorneys at Law, our practice is focused on issues of employment law and personal injury law — two legal disciplines that often have people struggling against impersonal systems and unfair treatment. We believe these people deserve to be heard, and we take pride in not only listening, but also finding solutions and aggressively protecting their interests every step of the way.
Attorneys Mark Steven Avila and Tali Helene Shaddow offer skill, tenacity and an understanding of how strategy plays a key role in winning a case. They lead our firm with a level of preparation that can hold up in court, but they understand the value of flexibility in certain situations. When you work with our firm, you will receive straightforward information about what can be realistically expected and the advantages/disadvantages of taking a matter to court versus negotiating a settlement in your favor.
These principles apply to both employees and employers in our employment law practice. We have handled cases from both sides of the coin, which has given us insight into how opposing parties are likely to argue a case. No matter what, we uphold the employment law regulations that keep both employees and employers safe from issues of discrimination, harassment, wage and overtime disputes, wrongful termination and other issues of unfair treatment or hostile work environments.
Our personal injury practice is approached with the same rationality. When our clients come to us after an unexpected injury and are failing to get results from the insurance company they expected to help them, we start building a case for maximum compensation on their behalf. This case may be brought against the at-fault (negligent) party in a lawsuit, through a claim with his/her/the business's insurance company, or through a claim against our client's own insurance provider. In each case, we provide in-depth analysis and persuasive arguments that justify compensation for immediate medical expenses, long-term care needs and financial challenges that are the result of the injury.
We are here to help you overcome obstacles in employment law and personal injury. Before you make any statements to insurance companies or to your employer, discuss your case with us. Many of our cases are handled on contingency fees, which means there is no charge for an initial consultation, and no attorney fees until we successfully recover compensation on your behalf.
