Metairie Truck Accidents Law Firm

Overview

Dedication to our clients is the most outstanding quality of the Charbonnet Law Firm. We have been offering friendly, personal service for more than 50 years. Many of our original clients still consult with us for their everyday legal needs. Three generations of Charbonnets have made practicing law our life's work and continue to offer the same caliber of dedicated service and sincere legal advice to all of our clients.

Today, our practice focuses on the investigation and resolution of personal injury and wrongful death claims resulting from truck accidents, car accidents, and maritime accidents. We also help clients resolve insurance coverage, liability, indemnification disputes, and Successions and Wills.

Our law practice has grown to reflect the changing needs of our clients. As much of New Orleans' population expanded to the suburbs, Charbonnet Law Firm has kept pace with the times. Our attorneys have litigated cases throughout Louisiana in numerous state and federal courts. While the office in uptown New Orleans is our landmark location, we also have a satellite office in Metairie to accommodate our clients in Jefferson Parish and the surrounding areas.

If you need exceptional legal representation and an attorney you can trust, Charbonnet Law Firm is the place for you. We look forward to assisting you. Call the Metairie office number: (504) 888 2227 and the New Orleans office number (504) 717-2278 for a free consultation or contact us through e-mail.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
