Normandy Park Redemption Law Firm

Overview

From our offices in Normandy Park, the team at Kurt Bennett - The Redemption Lawyer offers experienced representation to clients with criminal defense or redemption law concerns. Our founding attorney, Kurt Bennett, has spent his entire legal career helping people who are facing a difficult legal situation. He understands that everyone can make a mistake, and this mistake shouldn't be something that prevents you from reaching your full potential - whether it was your mistake or some else's.

Our attorneys work to develop a comprehensive strategy for your case. If you are facing a criminal accusation, we fight hard for your rights, and protect you from damaging data. If you need to revisit a past criminal matter to remove or seal a conviction, we can help you explore your options and then pursue remedies.

As experienced trial lawyers, we know that in some circumstances, you are going to need a fighter who is constantly by your side when things get tough. We are not afraid to go up against prosecutors, the Department of Homeland Security or attorneys for the other parties involved in your case. We believe in your rights and that your voice should be heard. We are going to do whatever is legally necessary to help you get the second chance you deserve.

Every problem has a solution, and being told "there is nothing that can be done to fix your situation" is rarely true. Usually what is needed is creativity, diplomacy, and hard work. Call us today for a free consultation, and we will tell you what we can do to get results for you.

Kurt Bennett Attorneys handled my case with the highest standards of legal competence and professionalism. As a victim of violence, the empathy, diligence, and timely communication from the attorneys were especially important. They were very thorough about strategy and preparing me for each step. There were several unavoidable and unforeseeable obstacles throughout my time as a client, and the attorneys were able to quickly adapt and provide alternative solutions. My case had a favorable outcome and I deeply appreciate the hard work and attention to detail from Kurt Bennett Attorneys.

Hired this firm to restore my gun rights in reference to a police report that I had been arrested in 1988 for domestic violence (verbal argument in WA). No court docs could be found but I needed it done to get a CCW. I am out of the state so I could not do this myself. Their billing was high and I expressed concern. $105 for the attorney to email me a status. Needless to say, I was glad they did not email often. I was told this case would cost 2 to 3 thousand dollars, maybe more. The attorney had to go to court twice because he worded the restoration of right in a way the judge did not like. They billed me over $1,500 for court appearances. The case cost me over $5,000 for a simple arrest needing to be vacated to restore my rights. The DA did not challenge it, thank heaven because this firm would have charged more. FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO HELP YOU! Update, I gave him a copy of what my Sheriff department wanted done to restore my firearm rights. What he did was not accepted by the Sheriff's office therefore it was a waste of money. I admit that he said his plan usually works but, in my case I could have got this done correctly by another firm for $7,500. I'm out $5,000 and I'm not sure I can gather $7,500 to fix this so I will not be able to buy any firearms for a long time. Thank you so much Kurt Bennett!

This client had a difficult and complex legal situation due to the multi-state issues involved. Further, the age of the underlying court case caused extra issues due to the lack of existing information. My firm worked diligently and was able to timely provide the best resolution possible under Washington law. The quick thinking of my associate attorney at the hearings kept the confused judge from denying the correct legal remedy – the remedy to which the prosecutor had agreed. In the end, we won the case. Our fees were clearly identified upfront and when the case concluded, my firm returned to this client his money remaining in trust. In short: We won his case in Washington State and he got some money back. I am truly puzzled why this person is complaining. As we told this client from the beginning, we cannot control how another state interprets that state’s laws. We stand by our successful work in this case and our related fees.

Kurt is a fantastic attorney and he Doesn?t steer you in the wrong direction. He thinks outside the box and comes up with a few different plans that can all work in conjunction to each other.

Mr. Bennett and the team has been ethically accommodating my legal needs when they were first in downtown Seattle. Due to my transitions in life and Mr. Bennett telling me from day one, "I only take on cases I know I will win." He is a man of his word. Even though Mr. Bennett provides expensive legal services, he has paved the way for me to do ANYTHING in life. These words are hard for a man of color to honestly say this. I will be forever thankful for the work of Kurt Bennett Law Firm.

Kurt and his team were able to get a hearing scheduled and won my case to vacate 2 convictions. The entire team was very responsive, and answered all of my questions from the time I hired them all the way through to my court hearing. I felt very prepared for the hearing and it was clear that Kurt was prepared as well. The prosecutor wasn't interested in the facts and was set out to have my motion to vacate denied from the start. Thankfully Kurt was able to speak very well on my behalf, and prepared me to speak on my own behalf as well. I highly recommend hiring Kurt's firm if you need to have a conviction vacated.

I was looking for a way to expunge two WA state misdemeanors from over 15 years ago and Kurt Bennett was very knowledgeable and successful in making that happen. There was a lot of pre-requisites and they also had to be dealt with in chronological order. There was a website I initially looked at that charged less but had no guarantee of providing "in-court" representation in other words no way to send in a representative should someone be required to appear before a magistrate. I recommend that if you want to pursue something like this to work with a real law firm.
