Didn’t know if I had a case or if any Attorneys would be able to help me out with my case which was work related, called Michael Burgis & associates. This turned out to be the best call I could have made. Javier, Michael and Ana were all so amazing , they always kept me informed of everything going on and they were able to settle my case with great results. FOLLOWING UP! After speaking with attorney Michael Burgis on Tuesday February 21, 2023, emailed me the statement documents and advised me to edit and sign them even though it stated that I WAS NOT entitled to a back to work voucher. he said that he would continue to fight with the insurance company AFTER my case settles for my voucher (HE THINKS IM STUPID) I know once I sign the statement documents I’m agreeing to EVERYTHING … this is how this attorney plays games with you … so later on I called him back and asked him if he could send me a copy of my PD ( Permanent disability benefits ) went from 5,924.31 in October and now it states I owe 15,950. Four months later… Make it made sense!!!! He then tells me that the he had spoken with the defense attorney and they had agreed to give me the back to work voucher (BUT HE WAS SO ADAMANT THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD NOT ) during our early conversation. I told him that I wanted proof of this and I wanted the settlement documents revised by the defense he said that he would mention it in the settlement documents ( NOT THE DEFENSE attorney) RED FLAG!!! and I still did not sign the documents. Nonetheless, the PD benefits spread sheet I received didn’t make any sense. Some pages didn’t have dated only money amounts .. the crazy part of this is he didn’t know the insurance company sent me a benefit print out along with a letter explaining how much benefits they paid me.. SMH… and the spreed sheet is NOTHING like the one I received from Mr. Burgis… SAD!! I will see what happens today and at this point I may just go on Facebook live, instagram etc. with my story I also have ALL of my paperwork documents emails as receipts I pray this doesn’t happen to anyone else. And I just want what’s rightfully mines and move on from this.

I have so much to say about how unprofessional, dishonest attorney Micheal Burgis and David Romero along with other staff members who DON'T answer calls they just send you to voice mail ! and THIS IS MY TRUTH!!! to keep it short let's just say I've been going before the WC board since since last September 2022 for MSC we had a continuance for October 2022 we agreed to settlement and the settlement documents where sent to there office and when I went in to sign I discovered attorney David Romero obviously didn't look over the documents and basically I was being SCREWED by the defense and David Romero was trying to convince me to except the settlement and sign. I declined to sign and he said that he would have to defense attorney correct the documents.. Mind you this was October 2022. So now we just went before the board on February 8th 2023 and all was corrected and agreed and today February 17, 2023 I still have not signed my settlement documents! I'm being told that once again that the defense had not corrected the dates of my TD ( Total Disability) more lies... these people are c dishonest play games and spend more time arguing with there clients instead of the defense. I will be sure to follow up with this review to let EVERYONE know when or if they ever call me to sign my settlement documents. please Be aware of this SHADY Law office of Michael Burgis & Associates
