In addition to practicing law, Mr. Nierman is an adjunct professor at the University of Iowa Law School teaching Insurance Law. He also serves as an expert witness in insurance litigation and leads seminars for lawyers on how to deal with insurance companies.
He graduated from the University of Iowa Law School in 1999 with high distinction and was named to the Order of the Coif (the national legal honor society).
Prior to law school, he handled insurance claims for a Fortune 50 insurance company. He also worked for an insurance trade association and several insurance agents.
He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Iowa. He is a current or former member of the following:
