Our founder, attorney Cameron Platt, served as a police officer, sergeant and union representative for 22 years. He has witnessed firsthand the personal, financial and professional harm first responders suffer as a result of simply doing their jobs. Upon retiring, he sought a law degree from the University of Utah College of Law. While there, he offered pro bono services via Street Law Legal Clinic and volunteered with Wills for Heroes.
Shield Law, LLC, always strives to do what is right. We attempt to help individuals resolve their legal problems in the most time- and cost-efficient ways possible, such as through collaborative processes and mediation. We use the free initial consultation to determine what, if any, options a person has. We are honest about the validity of a claim and willingly refer cases to other attorneys if we feel they are out of our wheelhouse. We gladly accept credit cards as payment and offer virtual appointments.
