Two and 1/2 years into a very complicated personal injury case, due to my being rear-ended by another motorist driving at a very high speed, the attorney representing me became incapacitated, thus unable to finish the case already in the litigation phase. I used this attorney for wrongful termination from a job. I had little to no contact with this attorney through out the entire time he was (supposedly) working on my suit. The only times I heard from him or one of his assistant was him telling me what he had heard back from the other party. Somehow there was a mix up on this attorneys end when he quoted me a money settlement and recommended that I take it. I was told one price on the initial call and then was told another lower price when it was time to sign paperwork. I felt like if this suit had been bigger and for more money that they would have made that I would have afforded more time to my case. Then when it was time to pick up my checks from his office I was told I had to pay an additional filing fee out of my pocket in order to receive my checks. Just make sure you investigate everything and I mean everything before hiring an attorney!!
