If you are looking for an extremely intelligent and caring attorney then I would have to suggest Lara. Unfortunately the legal community is riddled with lawyers who treat you the exact same way that a public defender treats you. Public defenders have massive case loads and they only thing they care about is making a bad deal and moving on to their next case. At least the public defenders have an excuse, they are underpaid, and overwhelmed. Unfortunately you can get the same type of representation from a private attorney who collects your money and doesn?t care. Honestly there were times in my case in which if felt like Ms Yeretsian cared more than me. You don?t want a ?welp, we will see what happens? you want a ?screw them, Im not gonna let them get away with this? type of lawyer. That?s who she is! She personalized my case and made me feel like she was just as angry/frustrated with this abuse of system as I was. You want someone who is not just fighting for you but also right there with you. I had both a criminal case and a civil case. After hiring her for the criminal case in which she got the charges dismissed, I then hired her for the civil case in which she went to court and put the other side to shame. Outside of everything I have stated, one of the biggest qualities she has is her creativity. I promise if you hire her you will continuously have that ?wow I didn?t even think of that? moment. She finds ways to use insignificant moments and evidence and twists them into a way that is beneficial to your case. Obviously I pray to never need her criminal defense services again but I will definitely be recommending her to anyone in future who needs criminal defense. As for any civil proceedings I am unsure if she takes civil cases on a regular basis but if there is LITIGATION involved then I suggest you seek her out, she?s a bull dog in the court room!

Lara was relentless in fighting my case for me and her expertise comforted me during very stressful times. I didn't think she would be able to pull off a miracle and get me off with no jail time for accusations of selling drugs and a gun illegal in California, but she did. We engaged Lara 7 months ago for our son in a difficult situation for his age, 18, and the circumstance--first-time offense, double felony strikes. Lara's skill navigating the LA legal system was a practical piece of her skillset and no easy task! She was methodical, but above all, extremely thoughtful and upfront with us as she ran through the process and options. She decided to take the most out-of-the-box path of what was deemed most difficult to get, given that it is a newly installed alternative sentencing program--Mental Health Diversion that has rarely been applied to a felony case, let alone a double felony strike case. In fact, the diversion is a path to dismissal of all charges. It was a thoughtful decision and she managed to convert and coalesce with the Asst. D.A. to our position--who at first was resistant to each and every restriction we wanted to be lifted. Lara's perseverance and guidance kept us all focused on the end result with her strategic recommendation of a simultaneous mental health program in place for our son while Lara worked on resolving the case. By the time the delayed resolution date (COVID) came, our son had spent enough time in a mental health program to prove to the Court that the sentence of Mental Health Diversion was the right choice. I am impressed by her ability to stay calm, smart, and transparent throughout.

I hired her when I was charged with one count of felony assault with great bodily injury, and one count of grand theft person, both of which are strikable offenses.
