After graduation, she accepted a corporate position with a national retailer and relocated to Charlotte. Her passion to help others helped her make the decision to pursue her J.D. at Charlotte School of Law where she was a member of Law Review, Order of the Crown, Women in Law, and served as a Teaching Assistant. She traveled to Tanzania with her Comparative Law class to study children's rights and work in the orphanages and group homes.
She is a mother of two young children and three dogs. She is a Custody Advocate Volunteer with the Council for Children's Rights in Mecklenburg County.
