Overview
Andrea focuses her practice in Civil Litigation, Family Law and Domestic Relations, Civil Rights and ADA Compliance, as well as Appellate Law. Andrea also has experience in complex fraud and white collar crime litigation. Andrea has argued before the Indiana Northern and Southern District Federal Courts, as well as the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Andrea has Indiana Appellate Court experience, including engaging in oral argument before the Indiana Appellate and Supreme Courts. Further, Andrea is a registered civil and domestic mediator as well as a foreclosure facilitator. Andrea is also an adjunct professor of law at Indiana University Purdue Indianapolis. She is a graduate of the inaugural Indiana State Bar Association Leadership Development Academy, FBI Citizens Academy, Stanley K. Lacy Leadership Series, as well as the inaugural Columbia Club Impact Community Program. She has been ranked as a Rising Star SuperLawyer every year since 2012. She is AV rated from Martindale-Hubbell. She is a frequent speaker and writer on such topics as mediation, domestic relations, including adoption, civil rights, including ADA Compliance.
Andrea is committed to public interest and serving the community. She has served on various boards throughout the community, including, but not limited to: Indianapolis Bar Association Steering Committee; Indianapolis Law School Repayment Program Host and Standing Committees, Indiana University Alumni Board; Indiana University Purdue Indianapolis Paralegal Advisory Board, and has served as Past-President of the Indianapolis Equal Justice Works Division. Andrea is also very active within her local, city, state, and national bar association, serving in a wide array of leadership positions within those bar associations.
In addition to providing the highest degree of representation to the firm's clients, Andrea is dedicated to public interest law and serving the underprivileged. Andrea has volunteered at various organizations throughout the community which serve the underprivileged and pursue equal access to justice, including, but not limited to: Disability Legal Services of Indiana; Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence; Indiana Protective Order Pro Bono Project; Ask A Lawyer; Indiana Pro Bono Commission; Center for Victim and Human Rights; and other such organizations.
Andrea is fluent in American Sign Language and utilizes this skill to pursue her passion of meeting the legal needs and challenges of the Deaf Community throughout Indiana.
