Before becoming a prosecutor, Anthony grew up in the Birmingham area, and graduated from Vestavia Hills High School. After high school, he attended the University of Alabama where he was active on campus, participating in numerous community minded activities as well as being named to the school’s honor program. While in college, Anthony learned what an "honest day’s work" truly meant, as he worked for a large trucking company as a dock worker. After graduating college, Anthony attended the Cumberland School of Law. During law school, Anthony met his wife Erica, whom he married in June 2010. Erica teaches 5th grade at Cahaba Heights Elementary in Vestavia Hills. In November 2011, Anthony and Erica had their first son, Anthony “David” Michel Jr. Anthony and Erica are excited to announce they are now expecting a little girl in March of 2013. Anthony left the District Attorney’s office in Montgomery to come home and join a long time friend and colleague, Joshua Wrady, in a law practice focused on employment law.
