Barbara Gately has been a business trial lawyer since 1977. Barbara practiced first at Landels, Ripley and Diamond in San Francisco and then at Heller, Ehrman, White & McAuliffe, LLP, after which she formed her own firm in Marin County, California. - Summary judgment and appellate court victories in nationwide medical device litigation.
- An insurance bad faith case that, on appeal, became a landmark ruling defining the insurer's duty to defend liability claims.
- Successful prosecution of a corporate client's novel theories of vote-buying and other fiduciary breaches against some of its own directors and investors.
Barbara earned her law degree from Hastings College of the Law and her B.A. from Smith College.
