Bennett Allen - Cincinnati, OH

A native New Yorker, Bennett received his bachelor's degree from Columbia University, and upon graduating began working for the U.S. Department of Labor. In 2007, he transferred to the Cincinnati District Office, and in 2013, Bennett separated from government to attend the University of Cincinnati, College of Law. While there he served as President of the Labor and Employment Law Club, he interned at the Department of Labor's Office of Administrative Law Judges and at Region Nine of the National Labor Relations Board.

Bennett Allen joined Bennett P. Allen, LLC in 2015 and became a partner in 2019. He practices labor, employment, employee benefit, Title IX and civil rights law representing labor unions, individual plaintiffs, and employee benefit plans. Bennett's clients include the United Steel Workers District 1, IAFF Local 3518, Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 212, Cement Masons Local 132, Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 392 and Local 189, Cincinnati Federation of Teachers, Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition, Black Lives Matter Cincinnati, Center for Closing the Health Gap, Cincinnati Building and Construction Trades Council, and the Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council.

Bennett has been invited to speak on sexual harassment in the unionized workplace, as well as the impact of marijuana legalization on the unionized workplace.

Bennett is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Bennett serves on the Board of Directors for Adventure Crew, a non-profit organization whose mission is to "[o]pen the doors of nature for city teens to strengthen their connection with self and others and create the next generation of healthy outdoor enthusiasts and environmental stewards." In his spare time, Bennett enjoys running and spending time with (training) his ten-and-half-month old Black Labrador.
