Blair Leake is a trial attorney with years of experience serving as the lead trial counsel for individuals, businesses, cities, and government officials. He has successfully litigated a wide variety of cases, with an emphasis that includes-but is not limited to-civil rights litigation, employment litigation, personal injury litigation, and commercial litigation. Blair has persuaded juries and judges of the merits of his clients' respective claims and defenses in numerous state and federal courtrooms across Texas.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Blair went on to earn his juris doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, he earned accolades that included the Hofheinz Award for top advocate of the year, the Byron McCoy Excellence in Advocacy Award, the Distinguished Advocate Award, and an induction into the National Order of the Barristers.
After law school, he initially began working alongside his father-a trial attorney with over 30 years of experience-where Blair spent most of his time representing individuals and small businesses across North Texas in a wide range of lawsuits, hearings, and trials. After several years, Blair moved back to Austin to join the trial lawyers at Wright & Greenhill, where he now regularly represents Central Texas cities, public officials, businesses, and individuals in various different types of litigation proceedings. He was selected as a Texas "Rising Star" for 2021 & 2022 by Super Lawyers, and has been named a "Top Lawyer" every year since 2020 by Austin Monthly Magazine.
Blair is also very active in the local legal community. He served as President of the Austin Young Lawyers Association for the 2022-23 bar year after having previously serving in every other elected position for the group. During his tenure as President, AYLA won first place for the TYLA statewide Comprehensive Award and first place in the Service to the Bar Award, which are awards comparing young lawyer associations statewide. He has also chaired or co-chaired the AYLA Community Service Days Committee, Bench Bar Committee, Trial Institute Committee, and others.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
