After graduating from Tyler Junior College, Brian attended Texas A&M University where he was active in the student goverence of the College of Agriculure. After graduating, Brian was selected to work as an intern in the office the Honorable Charles Gonzalez of the Twenty-First District of the Sate of Texas, which includes parts of San Antoino. After returning from Washington D.C., Brian was hired by the office of Tom Craddick, then Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives in Austin focusing his work on agricultural issues, land use, and energy. Then, after a brief time working in the finance industry, Brian was accepted to St. Mary's Law School.
While at. St. Mary's, Brian excelled in both internal and external Moot Court and Mock Trial Competions. Prior to graduation, Brian was selected, along with nine other students, to the Order of Barristers. While in law school Brian worked for an oil and gas firm preparing title opinions and performing land title research for international, regional oil, and gas operators. After graduation, Brian continued this work as a landman, traveling throughout South Texas and managing projects in Wyoming. Brian then waded into the world of litigation- starting with an oil and gas litigation firm, then moving on to a plaintiff's firm, and finally an insurance defense firm. Immediatley prior to opening this office, Brian was a partner in a general litigation firm.
Brian married Maggie Jo Adams in 2010 and they live in the Cuero area with their son Hayes and his daughter Libby. Brian and Maggie dedicate a great deal of their time, outside of work, to supporting the youth of South Texas in their endeavors toward higher education. Brian and Maggie are both life members of the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo and currently serve on the Rodeo Ticket Committee. They are also members of the Poor Boys Buyer's Syndicate in DeWitt County. Both of these organizations are dedicated to providing scholarship support to South Texas children interested in agriculture and science.
Brian is currently a member of the Masonic Bodies of San Antonio, San Antonio Scottish Rite, the San Antonio Bar Association, the National Eagle Scout Association, and St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. Additionally, he volunteers as a coach with the Catholic Youth Organization. He enjoys the occasional study of history, shooting sports, working cattle and spending quality time with Maggie and his children.
