As the founding partner of Boender & Payment, Attorneys, Bryan leads the firm's criminal defense practice. He believes that skilled advocates must continue to participate in focused criminal defense training throughout their careers. He has attended two of the most prestigious advanced training programs for criminal defense lawyers: the National Criminal Defense College and the National College of Capital Voir Dire. Bryan has also published written materials and been a conference speaker on complex criminal defense topics, including death penalty defense, justice involved veterans, and sex crimes defense.
Bryan is an Afghanistan combat veteran. He served on active duty and overseas with the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division in the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Bryan continues to give back to the veterans community, and he is among the founding attorneys of the Free Veterans Legal Clinic in Eugene, Oregon. The clinic has served veterans in need of legal services since 2012.
Bryan lives in Eugene, Oregon with his wife Amanda.
