Mr. Evans has served as President of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Western Pennsylvania Chapter since 1998; He is a Past President of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and also of its Western Chapter; He is the former Statewide President of Lawyers for Consumer Rights. He has served in multiple capacities for the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers, having chaired its Legislative Policy Committee and served as a long time Trustee of LAWPAC, its Political Action Committee. Additionally, Mr. Evans has served as a State Delegate and as a Governor of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He has been a long time member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and has served on its Board of Directors. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Evans has served on the Civil Procedural Rules Committee, having been appointed to that position by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He also served as a member of the Statewide Special Committee to Study the Tort System for the Pennsylvania Bar Association in conjunction with the General Assembly of Pennsylvania.
