After graduating from law school he accepted a position as an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee County trying criminal cases from disorderly conduct to first degree murder. In addition to criminal cases he prosecuted consumer fraud and environmental cases.
After gaining valuable and extensive courtroom trial experience he and his high school friend, John F. McNally, opened Hausmann-McNally, S.C.
