In January 2006, he became a partner in the firm now known as Morris, Cary, Andrews, Talmadge & Driggers, LLC. In January 2011, Cory began his tenure as the firm's managing partner. His practice is primarily limited to claims arising out of automobile, motorcycle and commercial vehicle accidents, accidental deaths, workplace injuries, negligence and insurance disputes. Cory also helps people obtain Social Security Disability benefits.
In March 2011, Cory was an integral part of the trial team that obtained a $21,000,000.00 verdict on behalf of a severely injured client. This verdict is not only the largest in the history of Pike County, but also the state's largest compensatory damage award in a negligence case on record with the Alabama Jury Verdict Reporter.
While most of Cory's clients are from Alabama, Florida or Georgia, he has represented clients living in or handled cases arising out of incidents in 15 states and 3 foreign countries. Cory has had the privilege of representing members of the military stationed at Fort Rucker and Fort Benning. Often these clients move or are deployed before their case can be resolved. However, Cory has been able to protect the rights of these men and women and reached a favorable result for them even when they have had to move to other states or even other countries.
Cory grew up in Elba where he graduated from Elba High School. He then attended Southern Union in Wadley and Troy University in Troy. After getting his degree at Troy, Cory entered Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, MS, where he graduated in 2001. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Alabama.
Cory is married to the former Alyssa Wimberly from Dothan. Cory and Alyssa have three children: Holley, Mary Hannah and Carson. The Driggers attend Westgate Church of Christ in Dothan.
