Attorney Roberts began his legal career as an associate with Lax & Truax, LLC in 2000, where he was elevated to the role of Partner in 2009 and remained in that position until 2017. Attorney Roberts received his undergraduate degree (magna cum laude) in Sociology from the University of Connecticut in 1996 and his Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of law in 2000. He is certified by the State of Connecticut to serve as both an attorney for minor children and guardian ad litem. He is also a Florida Supreme Court certified Family mediator and holds a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation.
Attorney Roberts is a member of the American Bar Association, where he served as a Vice Chair of the Young Lawyers Family Division from 2010-2011; Connecticut Bar Association, serving on the Family Law Executive Committee from 2008-2015, the Professionalism and CLE Committee (2103 - present) and Resolution of Legal Fee Disputes Board (2013 - present); and Fairfield County Bar Association, serving as a co-chair of the Family Law section from 2012-2015.
