For almost ten years, attorney David Montgomery has helped families and individuals with their legal needs in the areas of family law, special needs planning, wills and trusts, probate and estate administration, business law, and non-profit organizations.
David was born and raised in East Tennessee. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Duke University. He received his law degree from Yale Law School. Years later, while working as an attorney in Atlanta, he received an advanced law degree in taxation from Emory Law School.
In addition to being a lawyer, David spent five years as a mediator of family and other disputes, and he also served as a pastor of a small church.
Since graduating from law school, David has lived and worked in different places around the country and the world: Atlanta, Chicago, Moscow (Russia), and Williamsburg (Kentucky). But recently he decided to return home to Knoxville, to establish a law office to serve the people of East Tennessee.
David is currently licensed to practice law in Tennessee.
