Born Trenton New Jersey, March 27, 1971; Admitted/Licensed to practice in the following courts:Pennsylvania Common Pleas Courts, U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania.
David grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. After graduating from Duke University Law School in 1996 David returned to Philadelphia to begin his legal career. David started his career at Gallagher, Reilly and Lachat, a Philadelphia firm handling exclusively litigation matters, working for Stephen Scheuerle a partner at the firm. Within a few months David got his first trial experience 2nd chairing a case in federal court.
In 1997 David and his Wife Michelle moved to the Pittsburgh area, feeling it would be a wonderful place to begin their family. David started his Pittsburgh legal career at in the litigation department of Tucker Arensberg P.C.. Within his first year David got his first two solo trial experiences, both in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
In 1999 David joined Charles Alpern at the firm of Kiger & Alpern. In the last 10 years working with Mr. Alpern, David has been able to learn from Mr. Alpern's decades of experience as a pre-eminent trial lawyer. David has continued his professional development by always seeking to combine the lessons offered by the fine attorneys he has worked with a continued high level of autonomy and responsibility that allowed him to further develop and refine his own legal skills.
In 2006 David joined Mr. Alpern in the new firm AlpernSchubert, P.C., allowing David to learn from Richard Schubert, an exceedingly well respected trial lawyer who has dedicated his career to helping the injured.
David has handled a variety of matters since his legal career began in 1997, including: multiple bad faith actions, medical malpractice cases; auto claims; slip and falls; contract disputes and employment matters.
David lives in Mt. Lebanon with his wife Michelle and his children Connor and Jessica. Since moving to the Pittsburgh area David has tried to stay very involved in his community as a way to give back for all that Pittsburgh offers his family. David is an Elder at Sunset Hills Presbyterian Church as well as the High School Sunday School teacher. David is also on the Board of Directors for the Mt. Lebanon Football Association as well as one of its coaches.
