David J. Harter is an Of Counsel with Kring & Chung, LLP. Mr. Harter has supervised and litigated over 300 contested business litigation cases in his career. During his entire career, his practice has primarily focused on business transactions and business litigation. As there is often no insurance on either side in business litigation matters, he has significant experience in handling post-judgment collection matters. He has also handled a significant number of Anti-SLAPP cases both at the trial court level and on appeal with several published Appellate Court decisions.
Mr. Harter grew up in Orange County California and graduated from Fountain Valley High School in 1983. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance from California State University at Long Beach, graduating with a 3.875 GPA. Following college he went to work in the Finance Department of First Interstate Bank. After two years of working in the finance department, he returned to school to obtain his Juris Doctorate degree. Mr. Harter attended Duke University School of Law where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was a member of the Order of the Coif.
Mr. Harter joined the Robert A. Banyard Inns of Court in 1996 and has been active in that organization since joining.
