Otsego Family Law Lawyer
Overview
I have been practicing in the Twin Cities and the northern suburbs since graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School, cum laude, in 2004. I strive to develop a relationship of trust and confidence with my clients. I make consulting and hiring a lawyer as cost-effective as I can by providing honest advice, negotiating with your goals at heart, avoiding unnecessary litigation where possible, and litigating your case aggressively in court when necessary.

Over the years I have raced mountain bikes, wrote and sold short fiction, and worked as an editor on various fiction magazines. Before I went to law school, I spent ten years in the business of group health insurance, from opening letters in the mail room to negotiating contracts as an account manager. I used to play chess competitively but gave it up to retain my sanity. I married my wife Amy in 2007. We have a 4-year old son, Douglas. He likes trains, cars, baseball, and Spider Man, and he will tell you I am the very best lawyer ever. These days I spend my free time enjoying good beer and fine cigars, canoe camping in the boundary waters, and putting miles on my road bike. I ride at least one long distance charity event each year, such as the MS150 in Minnesota and the Scenic Shore 150 in Wisconsin.
