After my initial meeting with attorney, I never saw, spoke with or communicated with him again. Everything was done with a paralegal. The day before my settlement was finalized, he found a $49,000 hospital bill. Why that hadn’t been found prior, as the surgery had occurred 9 months prior, is beyond me. On top of the 1/3 settlement for Van Sant, I was charged an additional $525 for “Expenses.” Shouldn’t that have been covered in their settlement amount?
