Fried is a trial lawyer who represents individuals and businesses injured as the result of contract disputes, work-place discrimination and other types of negligence, including premises liability, auto and trucking injuries.
As part of his employment practice, Mr. Fried also litigates pay issues under the Fair Labor Standards Act and drafts and negotiates employment contracts, severance packages, non-compete agreements and other restrictive covenants. Mr. Fried also provides general counseling on all aspects of non-profit corporate governance. He sits on the Board of BeautyAid, a Georgia non-profit corporation, and acts as general counsel for BeautyAid and The World Foundation for Medical Studies in Female Health, a New York based not-for-profit corporation.
Mr. Fried graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor in business from Binghamton University in New York. In 1995, Mr. Fried graduated form Emory University Law School in Atlanta, Georgia. Following graduation, Mr. Fried took and passed both the Georgia and New York bar exams. His first position following law school was with the Georgia Superior Courts as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Tom Pope, the Honorable Jefferson Davis and the Honorable Shepherd Howell. Following his clerkship, Mr. Fried joined the Atlanta defense firm, Fain, Major, Wiley & Brennan. He later joined the Atlanta office of Jackson Lewis where he concentrated his practice on work-place discrimination defense work and client counseling.
Mr. Fried continued his management side employment practice with the Atlanta office of Hunton & Williams. In 2001, he left the "big firm" environment to strike out on his own. Fried & Bonder is the successful result of Mr. Fried and his partners’ combined prior experience, current work-ethic and vision. As lead counsel, co-counsel and partner, Mr. Fried and the firm have recovered and saved millions of dollars for their clients through trials, settlements and mediations, in both state and federal courts throughout the county. He is a regular invited speaker for continued legal education seminars in Georgia. He is a member of The Georgia Bar, The Georgia Bar Employment and Labor Section, The Atlanta Bar, The Atlanta Bar Employment and Labor Section, American Association for Justice, The Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and The Lawyers Club. David lives in Atlanta with his wife Della Deaton, his two children Benjamin Davis and Jocelyn James, and their black lab Hero.
