Ms. Tataryn served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Pamela Alexander in the Hennepin County District Court. In 1991, she took a senior attorney position with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, a federal governmental agency, in Washington, D.C. where she stayed for six years. In 1999 she returned to Mansfield Tanick & Cohen. She serves as Chair of the Firm's Disability Practice Group, which has successfully represented hundreds of disabled clients seeking disability benefits. Ms. Tataryn has devoted most of her legal career to the practice of ERISA and Employment law litigation. Ms. Tataryn is a frequent speaker on both subjects.
Ms. Tataryn graduated from Hamline University School of Law in 1986. She is an honors graduate from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a degree in Business Administration. She has served at each level of the legal career ladder, starting out as a legal assistant, then as paralegal and law clerk before practicing as a licensed attorney. Ms. Tataryn and her husband, Andrew, have two children, Taras and Aleksa.
