"I am committed to helping clients find the best possible outcome in each and every case. I want to combine my legal skills and compassion to assist clients through the often complex and emotional environment of family law."
But for Attorney Erin Boyd, comfortable is exactly how she makes her clients feel. The feeling she gets when a nervous client leaves her office happier and more certain than when they walked in is what she does the job for.
Even in middle school, Erin knew she wanted to be a lawyer so she could make a difference in people's lives. And early on, she figured out another important part of her personality: she's a people person.
That key fact helped shape her career.
Erin got her law degree from Marquette University Law School and soon after worked at Vanden Heuvel & Dineen, where she second-chaired well over 150 cases in two years.
The high she got from the job wasn't pushing papers and drafting documents, however, but fighting for clients. Talking to people, comforting people, and helping them move forward. These are the parts of the job that sustain Erin and working as a family lawyer has given her all that and more.
When Erin works a case, she puts on emphasis on face time and as much personal contact with her clients as possible. Her personal touch isn't for show, and she uses it to craft a strategy that's tailored to her client's specific needs and challenges.
It was her sincerity and dedication to people that landed Erin at Sterling Law Offices.
In addition to her accomplishments as a lawyer, she also volunteers at the Waukesha County Family Legal Clinic. Also, she served on the Legislative Study Committee on Access to Civil Legal Services.
She also had the honor of studying international comparative and human rights law at the University of Giessen in Germany while in law school.
Funnily enough, while there she was able to meet distant relatives, proving once and for all that the world is only made up of interconnected people.
