Faith A. Friedman has been working with Gerald B. Lefcourt since 2006. She has nearly 25 years of experience practicing predominantly in the areas of criminal defense and white collar criminal defense at both the state and federal levels. During that time she has been associated with several highly regarded members of the criminal bar.

Throughout her career, Ms. Friedman has represented individuals and corporations under investigation for and charged with federal election law and campaign finance law violation, securities fraud, mail and wire fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, RICO, labor racketeering, trademark counterfeiting, diverting, extortion, embezzlement, bid rigging, political corruption, gambling, larceny, vehicular manslaughter, assault, narcotics offenses, and driving while intoxicated.

Ms. Friedman has enjoyed a number of successful outcomes at both the trial and appellate levels in state and federal matters involving civil and criminal issues, including: Shawe v. Elting (dismissal of an action for egregious misconduct by plaintiff); People v. Kennedy (acquittal after jury trial of individual who accidentally ingested sleep medication and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs); People v. Anonymous (dismissal of felony complaint alleging assault on a police officer after locating and presenting evidence of mistaken identity); In re Anonymous (secured immunity on behalf of potential federal grand jury witness); United States v. Gigante (dismissal of federal indictment on statute of limitations grounds of first impression in the district); Cordero v. Epstein (dismissal of complaint after hearing); United States v. Mancuso (dismissal of federal indictment for pre-indictment delay); People v. Miley (breathalyzer test results suppressed in manslaughter prosecution); People v. Hafeez (second degree murder, conspiracy, and hindering prosecution convictions reversed based on insufficiency of the evidence); People v. Anonymous (sealing of prior felony conviction; People v. Anonymous (sealing of prior misdemeanor conviction) and several dismissals in state court for failure to comply with pleading requirements. She has also effectively negotiated agreements not to prosecute and other favorable outcomes in various criminal and civil matters.

In 2014, Ms. Friedman was named in Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in the area of criminal defense.

She has assisted in writing articles which have been published in the New York Law Journal, has taught in programs run by local law schools, and was a CLE speaker. Ms. Friedman received her B.A. from Binghamton University (1996) and her Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (1998) as a student in the Accelerated Entry Program. While at Cardozo, she participated in the Innocence Project, investigating and litigating innocence claims by incarcerated individuals throughout the United States. She also served as a judicial intern to The Honorable Frederick Block, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York.

Ms. Friedman is admitted to practice in New York and United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
