J. Mitchell Beard's practice is focused on the practice areas of general Civil Litigation, and Oil and Gas Law. He represents clients from all walks of life, corporate and individual. In the past few years, he has represented mostly oil and gas corporate clients in condemnation actions, although he also represents landowners in condemnation actions and in general oil and gas transactions and disputes. Mitch came to Flowers Davis, P.L.L.C. from the law firm of Wellborn, Houston, Adkison, Mann, Sadler & Hill, L.L.P. in Henderson, Texas where he initially served as an Associate Attorney and, later, as a Partner for seven years.
Mitch has had a varied practice on both sides of the docket involving general civil litigation, personal injury, family law, corporate and business law, oil and gas law, appellate law and probate law, among others. Before attending law school, he practiced as a Registered Pharmacist (R. Ph.) for seven years. His experience as a pharmacist helps him evaluate and handle medical malpractice cases, from both the plaintiff or defendant points of view. The same can be said with regard to personal injury lawsuits.
Mitch is very active in his community, providing pro bono legal services and as ad litem for minor children in a variety of family law and domestic dispute proceedings, and in situations involving minor children where there are allegations of neglect or abuse.
