Prior to joining Carlin & Ward, Mr. Turteltaub was associated with Sills, Cummis, Radin, Tischman, Epstein, & Gross, P.C. He was previously employed in the banking industry, where he developed financial services and consulted in mergers and acquisitions, asset/liability management, and strategic planning.
Mr. Turteltaub served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Lawrence L. Lasser, then the presiding judge of the New Jersey Tax Court. Mr. Turteltaub is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Taxation Section.
Mr. Turteltaub is considered an authority on environmental issues related to eminent domain acquisitions, having successfully argued Housing Authority of New Brunswick v. Suydam Investors, LLC, 177 N.J.2 (N.J. Supreme Court 2003). His extensive trial practice includes cases such as New Jersey Transit Corp. v. AMB Institutional Alliance Fund II (2009); Borough of Harvey Cedars v. Flumenbaum (2011), and Township of Bloomfield v. 110 Washington Street Associates (2006).
Presentations
Speaker for courses approved for New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York continuing legal education and by the New Jersey Real Estate Appraisal Board, Continuing Education Credits for Certified New Jersey Assessors. Topics have included redevelopment, treatment of environmental remediation, land use, development of highest and best use and matters related to eminent domain litigation and valuation litigation.
