From the beginning of her professional career in medicine as a critical care nurse, Jane had a passion for providing quality patient care. As a nurse, she took care of thousands of patients who required meticulous attention to their medical needs. During her nursing career, Jane witnessed the importance of protecting the legal rights of her patients and in 1992 she obtained her law degree. Jane's success in merging her compassion, her medical knowledge and her skills as a trial lawyer gives her the ability to obtain legal remedies and lawful accountability through the civil justice system. She has been a passionate advocate for her clients who have suffered injuries or death in the context of hospital negligence, physician negligence, automobile and truck accidents, nursing home negligence, vaccine injury and dangerous products and drugs. Jane constantly utilizes her medical background and specialized expertise to dissect complex cases and bring them to a meaningful resolution for her clients. She is proud that through her successful advocacy she has helped to make safer regulations for the protection of patients in the operating room, the protection of children undergoing experimental medical procedures and the reduction of the number of impaired healthcare workers providing treatment to patients.
Jane has the honor of being nominated and inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). She is a Board member of the Washington State Association for Justice and chairs its Court Rules Committee. She is the Chair of the Washington State Bar Association Civil Rules Drafting Task Force Cooperation Subcommittee and is a past Chair of the Washington State Bar Association Litigation Section Executive Committee. Jane currently Co-Chairs the King County Judiciary and Litigation Committee and is a member of the Kitsap County Bar Practice and Procedure Committee. Her commitment to public safety extends to her service on the Northwest Regional Board of the American Red Cross where she currently serves as the Vice Chair of the American Red Cross Board in King County. The National Trial Lawyers named Jane one of the top 100 trial lawyers in Washington State.
