In September of 1998, Jody Stuart Foyles began working with the Public Defenders Office in Hoke and Scotland County, where he spent the majority of his time in Court representing indigent criminal defendants. Through this job, Jody Stuart Foyles gained a unique familiarity with the court system and also gained a great deal of experience in the courtroom.
Upon leaving the Public Defenders Office, Jody Stuart Foyles became a partner in the law firm of Holshouser, Garner, Foyles & Hayes, where he began focusing his practice on domestic and civil litigation.
Since July of 2001, Jody Stuart Foyles had his own law firm, where he continued to concentrate on domestic litigation, civil litigation and personal injury cases. Jody Foyles has filed numerous lawsuits in Superior Court to recover for personal injuries ranging from claims of action for wrongful death to sexual harassment. The Defendants he has sued range from major corporations to local school boards. In addition, he has represented people in land disputes over easements, boundary disputes, timber cases and quiet title actions. He has also tried numerous child custody, child support, alimony, post separation support and equitable distribution cases in his domestic practice.
