John E. Vukelich has been a trial lawyer in Minnesota for 41 years having practiced exclusively in the area of bodily injury. For nearly 20 years at the beginning of his career, Mr. Vukelich did a great deal of defense work for insurance companies which he feels gives him great insight into handling a plaintiff's case when considering how the defense will approach their case. He has tried to completion cases involving quadriplegia, paraplegia, wrongful death, traumatic amputation, eye-out cases, scarring cases and the gamut of orthopedic and soft tissue injury cases. In addition, Mr. Vukelich has argued cases in the Minnesota State Court of Appeals, the Minnesota Supreme Court and the United States Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
John is a product of Minnesota's "Iron Range" having been born in Virginia, Minnesota in 1948. He graduated from high school in Virginia, Minnesota, graduated from Brown University as an undergraduate in Providence, Rhode Island in 1970. After active duty military service, he returned to Minnesota to attend law school where he graduated from William Mitchell College of Law with Honors and finished that program ahead of time.
For many years he was a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates which is an elite trial organization whose membership is only given by invitation and after having tried a certain number of cases. Mr. Vukelich is also a qualified Alternative Dispute Resolution Neutral under Rule 114 in Minnesota. He has mediated thousands of cases as a mediator and brings that experience to the table as a trial lawyer well known to the trial community as well.
