Overview

Mr. Teig is a seasoned, results-oriented attorney with an interdisciplinary practice focused on commercial litigation, arbitration, and appeals. He represents individuals and businesses of all sizes, for whom he has appeared before federal and state courts as well as AAA, ICDR, & SMA arbitration panels, in disputes involving real and intellectual property, licensing & royalties, breach of contract, employment and restrictive covenants, property damage, shipping, and other business and commercial issues. Mr. Teig is experienced in all facets of coordinating, managing, and strategizing for complex litigations, and has frequently appeared as lead and/or appellate counsel. In addition to oral presentations in trial and appellate courts, arbitrations, mediations and settlement conferences, Mr. Teig is adept at direct and cross-examination of fact and expert witnesses. Mr. Teig is also experienced in researching and drafting critical litigation documents, including appellate briefs, pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, memoranda, affidavits, declarations, and settlement agreements. Mr. Teig also assists his clients in avoiding legal expenses where possible through risk assessment, negotiation, and mediation.

Mr. Teig received his B.A. from Yale College, and his J.D from Fordham Law School, where he was on the Law Review and from which he graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif. He is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York as well as the U.S. Federal Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York. Mr. Teig was recognized as a Super Lawyers "Rising Star", an honor bestowed on no more that 2.5 percent of lawyers in any given state, for six consecutive years.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Teig performed in theaters, concert halls, nightclubs, and other venues, and co-founded and managed a professional recording studio. He is married to Carol Mosesson-Teig, the Director of Mathematics for the New York City school system, and is the proud father of their two daughters.
