At the Empowerment Zone, he worked under the late Johnnie Cochran Jr. In 2004, Mr. Ramirez began a small practice specializing in family law. Thereafter, he joined a small firm in Manhattan specializing in immigration. After joining Peña and Kahn, PLLC, Mr. Ramirez began practicing in the areas of criminal, immigration and bankruptcy law. Mr. Ramirez is a member of the New York County Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He received the A. Wesleyan Academic Scholarship 1983-1988.
