Success in the criminal field is often a matter of degree. I am originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. I earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, with minors in philosophy, history and political science. In my off-time I coached and judged high school policy debate. I graduated in 1998, moved to Minnesota and started work at Allina Health Systems as their Conference Center Coordinator. I was accepted by William Mitchell College of Law in 2000, began working as a law clerk for Meshbesher & Associates in 2001 and graduated with my JD in 2003. I have been practicing here ever since.

Since joining this firm as an associate, I have handled and assisted hundreds of criminal cases across the entire spectrum of the law – from traffic tickets to homicides in state and federal court – in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Iowa and Kansas at the trial court and appellate court levels.
