Leah has extensive experience in leading and defending legislative efforts, including building coalitions and working with stakeholders, trade associations, and she has counseled clients regarding issues affecting the higher education, Medicaid, utility, charter school, banking, environmental, gaming and housing industries as well as tort reform and civil procedure reform.
In 2005, Leah was named as one of Ohio Super Lawyers' Rising Stars in lobbying and government relations. Leah was a participant in the Leadership Columbus Class of 2002, a fellow of the Ohio State Bar Association and host member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders. She is a founding member of the Women's Leadership Council and is also on the Board of Governors of the Capital Club, COSI Board of Trustees and the Capital Square Foundation Board.
Leah served as assistant deputy legal counsel for Ohio's governor from 1992 to 1995 and was the director of special counsel for the Ohio Attorney General from 1995 to 1999. She began her tenure with Calfee in 1999, became a partner in 2002, was elected to the firm's Executive Committee in 2009 and the Management Committee in 2011. She was named Partner in Charge for the Columbus office in 2012.
