Practice: In practice since 1993, Mr. Perez-Pietri maintains a litigation practice focused on domestic relations, juvenile and criminal law. Mr. Perez has litigated numerous complex cases including: jury trial resulting in acquittals on serious charges such as rape, malicious wounding and larceny; divorce cases involving properties and assets located in different countries and complex conflict of law issues involving application and interpretations of foreign law and orders; and Custody cases involving relocation of children to countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Peru, and Mexico.
Throughout his practice Mr. Perez has demonstrated outstanding passion and devotion to the young and underprivileged. He has an exemplary record dealing with Juvenile Court matters and has extensive involvement with organizations focusing on issues affecting youth. Mr. Perez is an active participant in the Fairfax Bar Conciliation Program with the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and the Circuit Court. He provides extensive pro bono services for Legal Services of Northern Virginia and the Fairfax Bar Pro Bono Program. He has organized and lectured CLEs for the Fairfax Bar and the Legal Services of Northern Virginia.
