GEA Mechanical Equipment US, Inc., $9,000,000 in Moure-Cabrera v. Johnson & Johnson, $6,785,000 in Moore v. John Crane Inc., and $2,854,159 in Hernandez v. Union Carbide Corporation. Mr. Kunen's $70 million verdict in Thornton was the third largest verdict in the State of Florida in 2019. His $9 million verdict against Johnson & Johnson in 2020 was the first verdict against a talcum powder manufacturer in the State of Florida. In 2014, The Daily Business Review nominated Mr. Kunen as a finalist for its Most Effective Products Liability Lawyers. Mr. Kunen has also been named to the National Trial Lawyer's "Top 40 Under 40" for the last three years and has served on the Board of Directors for the Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association since 2016. In 2019, Mr. Kunen was awarded South Florida's Champion of the Year by the Best Buddies nonprofit organization, for his work to promote inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
