Overview
Mario Mendoza's law practice focuses on assisting clients with an array of business legal matters, including business planning and entity formation, business contracts and negotiations, real estate transactions (commercial and residential), government relations, and legal disputes requiring litigation. In addition, Mendoza has assisted numerous licensed professionals in licensing, disciplinary and all regulatory matters. His clients include nurses, doctors and other medical professionals, real estate appraisers, lawyers, realtors, and psychologists.
Mendoza, who is a fluent Spanish speaker and writer, is a shareholder and leader of the firm's Bilingual Legal Services Practice Group. Previously, Mendoza served as an Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Madison for eight years, where he helped manage agencies totalling over 800 people. His responsibilties included planning, zoning,Tax Incremental Financing (TIFs) and public safety. He also represented the City of Madison in its intergovernmental relations efforts with the State of Wisconsin and other local governments throughout Wisconsin. Prior to his work with the City of Madison, Mendoza argued a medical malpractice case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Since 2005, Mendoza has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin Law School in the Lawyering Skills Program, and he oversees the firm's law clerk diversity program. He works with clients in both the Madison and Janesville law offices of Murphy Desmond.
